This book is an absolute MUST read; It is written for children but, as we wrote it, we realized that it is relevant not only for children but for anyone with a curious mind.

 

African History is an intricate part of what America is because it was built on the backs of our African ancestors. The contributions of Black people have been hidden, ignored, lied about, and deliberately left out of the pages of history books. 

 

 This book is the first of a series of six, and “Grandma Estella… I Have a Question” is a perfect start to a conversation about True African History and the contributions Black people have made to this world.

 

We are using this platform to dispel the falsehood and ignorance that contributes to the miseducation of a nation about what it means to be Black.

 Our goal is to open minds to the fact that we were Kings and Queens, enlighten them that we were so much more than just slaves and that we were the original people. Africans were the inventors of so many things we use and see in our everyday lives but not credited for.

 

We hope this book will start a conversation about true African history that will build Self-esteem and Self-worth within our children of color and offer new insights and perspectives to people of any age.

 

Grandma Estella has since passed, but her legacy lives on.
